For those of my readers who are in Arizona:
Many of you know that Senator John McCain is up for re-election in AZ, and that J.D. Hayworth is running against him. Well, I respectively do not like John McCain, or should I say, what he has voted for. Hayworth is better, but he does not represent me, or my views, and he has not held entirely to the Constitution while he was a U.S. representative.
But there is a third Republican(Yes, a Republican) running too, (remember the primary election in AZ is held Aug-24) Jim Deakin. I have researched him out, and he appears to represent me, and what I believe, and more importantly, what the Constitution says.
Now, I know what some of you are thinking, why vote for Deakin, cause he might take votes from Hayworth, and then McCain would get elected. Basically what they call a spoiler. Still, I am seriously considering Deakin, I urge you consider him too. There are quite a few "Tea-Party" people supporting him, because he represents what a true Tea Party person believes. I have also watched senate debates with all the candidates as well, and I like what I see of him.
If we all start voting for who represents us, maybe some 'Change' will happen'. If we don't, things in the long term will just continue as they are now. Just, remember, the "Next Election" or the up-coming election is always the most important.
Deakins Webpage is below. You can also look up the local debate videos, anybody who agrees with what the Tea Party is doing should consider Mr. Deakin.

Even if you are not of voting age, let your parents know about Deakin.

I am Irish, married to an Irish man and sadly strongly disagree with you. There is not ONE area in politics, personal or experience that JD is better then McCain on. I cannot stand that guy. He has completely failed Arizona in more ways then just one. We are just now trying to get out from the disgusting Harry Mitchell (dem) thanks to JD and his scandal with stolen money and Abramoff. Couple JD's constant need for a corrupt scam with his hypocritical campaign. JD claims to be this super strong conservative when his actions do not represent such. JD and his infomercial scam just set me over the edge. JD can give away all the free govt money he wants, so long as it is out of his own pockets and NOT mine!
I am not saying that I do not like Deakin... the opposite. but isn't that kinda wasting your vote? I don't think that he has a big enough name against the others...idk...
@ JennsR
Well I agree with you about Hayworths infomercial scam, not very good. I'll have to look into the other things. Remember ,I am noting supporting Hayworth either. Both him and Mr. McCain are not what this country needs. Thanks for viewing my blog.

No it is not wasting your vote, Deakin is not a third party candidate, and it's only the primarys. In the primarys we are supposed to choose the best one for our party, and Deakin is certainly much better. He is also open about himself being a Christian. During the debate of the three candidates, they each had a time to tell how they would do things and why, only once did the others speak about the Constitution, contrary Deakin's whole foundation was on the constitution. Foe example, Deakin doesn't agree with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, because they are unconstitutional, we (the US) have never declared war on those counties like the Constitution stipulates.
I'm okay with voting for someone who is not 100% aligned with my views, but if there someone who I believe has somewhat of a chance, I'll definitively do it.
On the live debate I watched, there was a couple of polls the views could vote in .
1. Who will you vote for?
60% for Hayworth
30% Deakin
about 15% for McCain
The "Who won the debate?" question had about the same proportions.
Remember this was a small polling of the samples.
I don't think I will vote for a guy who has violated the constitution and hasn't changed his ways.
Would you vote for a unrepentant Pastor in a church?
I have not decided for sure how I will vote in the main election. This post is about the primarys. Remember, if we can't change our country soon, there will be no country to change in the future.
Deakin would have a better chance if you would vote for him, if everybody says he doesn't have a chance and won't vote for him, of course he won't get in.
But, if everybody says he does and votes for him, then he would win. The change begins in the voters, the people.
In history, there wasn't always a two candidate/party system. Sometimes there were three candidates/partys running, and the vote would be slip fairly evenly between them. The Democrats/liberal arn't going to spilt, but they also aren't differnt and most have no morals.
As Christians we do have morals and have different convictions than the world, we are the ones that can change the world.
Sorry for rambling.....got of topic a bit so....
Enjoy. ;)
P.S If you have more questions you can always ask me in person, that is if you are who I think you are.
On another note:
Did you know that people like Buz Mills and Trent Franks would run under the constitutional party if it was on the ballot? (I believe those are the two). If the constitution party actually got off the ground and on the ballot, with people who are already in office signing on... do you know would happen? It would be great.
No, I didn't know they'd run under the constitutional party.. thx. I talked to someone the other day and didn't realize some things and OK, I agree w/ you more than I did. Who do you think I am??
But, Buz Mills and Trent Franks sure "advertise" an awful lot more than Deakin...
Buz Mills and Trent Franks are also very well known and I don't think (I may be wrong) that Deakin is as well known.
I'm not saying that that is anything against though.....lol
I seen Deakins signs around town, hes been on Foxnews, msnbc, a saw a picture of a billboard too with Deakin. But you are right, he is not as well known; but he does have a grassroots movement.
tyler, have you figured out that i argue with you to hear you expound on things?? lol
Neighbor down the street has a yard sign for Deakin, just saw it today. :)
Tyler,
"Remember, if we can't change our country soon, there will be no country to change in the future." SOOO true.
The other day, my mom and I were talking, and she said, "I dont' know if things have gotten bad enough yet if we are still having to pick between the better of the evils." Hopefully, America will have woken up to some degree, but if not, things may have to get worse before they get better.
I am just glad that I am not old enough to vote, yet because I don't know what I would do! Next election....
Thanks for posting stuff like this, Tyler. I love learning more and there are times I wish I wasn't a girl so I could run for...something! :) But, you can...and you should!
sorry tyler, but i have to say "i told you so" thaat deakin lost...badly lost. don't take that wrong..i'm not glad that mccain won. the only good thing is that i just won an "argument" w/ you for the first time in my life lol
